EchoSystem Capture Appliance
End of Life
Overview
The EchoSystem Capture Appliance is no longer be supported as of March 31st, 2016. Echo360 has not sold or marketed the Capture Appliance since 2011 and has fully depleted its supply of replacements. An End Of Life Announcement was sent out via email well in advance of the end of Support. For additional information, see these FAQs.
What does this mean?Â
There will be no more technical support, software patches, security updates or other development updates for the appliance, after March 31st, 2016. EchoSystem releases after this date will not be tested for compatibility with the SD appliance. Customers currently using the SD appliance should make plans to update their rooms to use either the Echo360 PRO appliance or Classroom Capture software. By updating rooms to use one of these newer capture solutions, customers will benefit from higher capture reliability, improved quality of captured media, better camera and device support and a lower total cost of ownership.Â
Customers that are actively using one or more Capture Appliances should take action and contact their Echo360 Sales or Account Management representative.Â
What are my options if I have Capture Appliances?Â
Customers have the option to use either the Echo360 PRO appliance or download Classroom Capture software - both of which support ad hoc and scheduled/automated capture workflows.Â
