Manage System Indexes

In this section:

Overview

The system indexes are used when you search or filter lists of items on an ESS page, such as the Courses page shown below:

You might be asked to regenerate a system index while talking with a Technical Support engineer.

The table below shows the index to regenerate for particular types of content.

Regenerate this index

To re-index this content and keyword search for the page

AdHocCaptureAd hoc captures listed on the Echoes > Ad Hoc Captures page.
CaptureCaptures listed on the Monitor > Captures page.
CourseCourses listed on the Schedule > Courses page. The Course search parameter appears on the Schedules > Schedule page.
PersonUsers listed on the Configuration > Users page. The Person search parameter appears on the Schedules > Courses page.
PresentationEchoes listed on the Echoes > Echoes page.
RoomRooms listed on the Configuration > Rooms page. The Room search parameter appears on the Configuration > Devices page.
Schedule RuleSchedules listed on the Schedule > Schedules page.

Procedure

  1. Navigate to System > System Indexes.

  2. Do one of the following:
    • Click on the button next to the specific index you want to regenerate. The table in the Overview shows which index to regenerate for specific search parameters.
    • Click on the Reindex All on Next ESS Restart button at the bottom of the page to regenerate every index.
  3. Restart the ESS at a time that minimizes disruption and delay.
